Custom rigging to make the lift safer
SAFETY WITH SETTING TANKS
With the use of the Larger RAM Hooks, H44-9 (18000# WLL) we are able to speed up the set time of production tanks. With the manlift or ladder only being used to hook the tank to the crane with the lifting rings, and then the ground personnel disconnecting by use of the RAM Hook quick release.
PROPER RIGGING EQUIPMENT
With proper rigging, not only does it make
for a safe work environment it also makes for a cost efficient environment.
Knowing the type of rigging equipment available and an understanding of the physics involved in lifting, we are able to create unique lifting styles dependent on the items to be lifted. Our primary goal is the safety of all personnel on location, with this always as our first thought; anytime we see a potential risk it sets in motion a thought process of how can we use rigging to lessen the risk.
Many of our clients have implemented stricter safety procedures on the ground personnel. Alot of these procedures have resulted in more man hours (higher costs). So we try to create better ways to do our roll in construction to lower the number of man hours used (lower costs).
Below you will see a sling style rigging for lifting production tanks. This style allows us to lift the 300, 400, 500 bbl. tanks that do not have lifting D-rings, or in situations where there is no way for the personnel to get on top of tanks to hook up the crane.
We also show the proper ways to rig to a separator and how to level the load.

Flat web slingAll flat slings have 'Wrapped Bearing Points' in order to add extra strength, reduce wear, and increase the life span at the lift point. It also helps reduce friction when cinching a load for longer life of the strap body.

Round slingsThe actual sling is on the inside, the outer casing is used to protect the sling from damage. Round slings allow for more options in lifting by their design. Roundslings usually have a longer life span than Flat slings because the lift and cinch points change evey time it is used.
